What Is The Importance Of A Will?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

A will is considered to be of extreme importance as with this instrument you can dictate that the wealth you have earned with your hard work is going in the direction you want and not in the direction of someone who just got the right because in legal terms he is your heir. It also make sure that there is no dispute among two heirs who can make equal claim to your property as you have dictated in your will that certain person is eligible for only certain percentage of your wealth and his will is not going to prevail but yours.

If you want to make a will you can do so and I am going to give you the address of a website that provides you comprehensive information about taking steps to make your will. The address is following: www.tenminutewill.co.uk.

Here in the US, wills are contested all the time. It does not prevent disputes or assure the decedent's wishes will be carried out accordingly. 5 years of dealing with probate court, attorneys and a greedy sibling after my Mother passed away exhausted much of the estate and did not provide as she had intended. Here in the US, a Living Trust is a more reliable way to go since it avoids probate after death.
