In Which Stadium Is The High School Baseball Tournament Held Every Year In Japan?

High school tournaments started in Japan in 1915, since then the best High School teams have competed every year in summer at the Koshien stadium (Osaka, Japan). This tournament or games are broadcast on national television in Japan. As high school baseball players, their dreams are to play in Koshien stadium in front of thousands of fans. At the start of the games there is a real established ritual and with the teams and umpires bowing to each other.

The Koshien stadium was built in 1924 but not for professional players but for high school players to play tournaments. As a high school baseball player it is classed as an honor to play at this stadium.. This games are all run on a voluntarily basis with no one who involved in it taking any money for their services including the TV broadcasting companies, trainers etc.
