I Have A Lab/retriever Mix That Is About One Year Old. Can You Help?

He has lost his appetite and is dropping weight quickly. He is very lethargic and weak, at times has a hacking cough. I see no sign of stool in the yard. Also his eyes are very matted. I have given him two types of worm medicine.

This sounds very serious.  I would get him to the vet as soon as possible.  Have you noticed him vomiting at all?  Lack of stool in the yard could be a sign of some type of blockage.  These are pretty serious symptoms for a dog so young.  I do not think worm medication is going to solve the problem.

Thanks for the info. I did not think about a possible blockage. The dog died on Nov. 1st. I tried to force him to take some water, but, he would turn his head. This is the second dog that became this ill. The first was a puppy about 3 months old. She had to have a blood transfusion to survive, but, has since gone missing.I am considering have a soil sample done in the yard.
I do not want to expose another animal to some hazardous material. I am also now concerned about my 11 year old son. Any other suggestions?
