Do You Like Monkeys?

My little boy wants one! He's my little monkey(Lol) I love monkeys!!!!

I love them, but they often suffer as pets. If you are thinking of getting a monkey you need to study for years, make sure you meet people who have them, HAD them (including the ones that have had to have plastic and other surgery's due to their loving monkey of 5,6,7,8,9,10, and so on years all the sudden attacking them) and volunteer at an exotic animal sanctuary on at least a weekly basis for at least 6 months to a year and be sure you can financially afford them (the housing, the food many end up with diabetes because of improper diet, the enrichments, the vet, medical care, shots are often the same as for human children) and are willing to make the proper changes to your house. People just don't think hard enough about what they are committing to often or are aware of the reality's and the NEEDS of primate companions and what can often be the results. Oh, and if you like macaques make sure you study up on rage syndrome (we don't call it a 'macaque attack' for nothin' it's awfully cute as a baby but as an adult, well) and herpes b (deadly to humans which they carry and shed similar to reptiles and salmonella).
