Not unless there's a safety in place that applies the brakes on loss of pressure. Never know theses days with all the technology. Usually a broken brake line will cause the vehicle to not stop on time depending if its front or back will determine how much lack of braking you'll have. Could be the master cylinder is sticking.

My Frontier pickup started feeling like the transmission was slipping.  I took it to the dealer and told them transmission was going bad.
When I picked it up they said it wasn't the transmission, it was the left rear brake, which they said looked like it had exploded.
So, evidently when I thought the trans. Was slipping, it was actually the brake applying itself and then releasing multiple times.
They didn't say so but I figured it was cause by the anti-lock brakes which are designed to pump to avoid skid.
I think your problem is in the wheel and the loss of fluid is from parts associated with the wheel cylinder etc.  Good luck.
