Who Is John Grisham?

John Grisham (or John Ray Grisham Jr.) is among the best selling authors of all times. J. Grisham is best known for his prolific works in legal drama and crime fiction.

He pursued his studies for Mississippi State University with majors in Science. John Grisham had always been an avid reader from an early age, which resulted into a creative flair for writing and further pursue it as a career. He is a former politician and a retired attorney. From 1983-90, J. Grisham served as a Democrat in the Mississippi House of Representatives. During his time as a legislator, Grisham witnessed a tormenting testimony of an adolescent rape victim. It was this incident that influenced him to pen down his first novel titled A Time to Kill, in which he explored the possibilities about what if the adolescents father would have killed her accused.
