Is Circumcision Only Performed Straight After Birth?

Whilst Circumcision is mainly known for being performed straight after birth, it can also be done during adulthood. The main reason for men being circumcised is down to religious beliefs; however, there are many reasons why an adult male may choose to be circumcised.

For some, circumcision is all about how it makes the penis look afterwards. Some men simply prefer the look of a circumcised penis to an uncircumcised one. They may also be doing it just to please their partners. However, another reason why they may wish to have the procedure done is because they have excess skin which they would prefer to have removed. Circumcision can really help a man keep himself cleaner and so that is also a contributing factor sometimes.

Others claim that circumcision helps to desensitise the head of the penis, allowing them to perform for longer during intercourse. So, whatever the reasons for adult circumcision, adult men do get circumcised and it is entirely possible!
