I agree that you should probably consult your vet. My big dog is old and also has pain. We give her three low-dose aspirin when she acts like she is in pain. It takes a little bit to work just like it does for humans but once it does she will stop whining and lay down. We have been doing this only when she is whining non-stop and only at night. It definitely helps.

No! Tylenol and even before I gave him that I would consult a vet.
