My Cat Doesn't Meow...
I moved in to a new home and inherited a cat that the former owners left behind. The cat hangs around my porch, she is friendly and amorous...but, when she opens her mouth to "meow", nothing comes out. Is this weird or what? I guess that she's about 6 years old. She has no visible scars from larynx surgery. It's really strange.

Well, if you are concerned, take her to a vet. My cat doesn't really meow either. She just mews very quietly. If that cat seems healthy, it is likely just that cat's nature. Meowing is not actually a sound that cats make in nature. Some people think it is like their title for us humans.

Have you tried taking it to the vets? If not then go and do so. My cat sometimes opens its mouth and nothing comes out but it goes back to normal after. But I'm not to sure to be honest.

Poor cat. If I were you I would try and teach it some sort of sign language. Maybe it needs new battries.
