Ive had a lot of dogs before and for the most part i would say i know a little bit about a lot of things ! But Ive never really been into rat terriers or known anybody that had them and i just want to make sure i can take the best of care for my new baby

Rat Terriers are known as one of the healtheis breeds of dogs. They are less prone to genetic diseases. Though rarely,but they still can suffer from the following diseases.
1. Patellar luxation
2. Epilipsy
3. Cleft palatte
4. Color dilution alopecia (CDA)
5. Thyroid problem
Brucellosis which is a sexually transmitted veneral disease,can also be found in terriers.
But all these diseases are rarely found in this breed as compared to others.
