Why Did God Made Animals?

Answer Question

4 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

The obvious answer would be for food, but as we now know it is possible to live on plants. However, animals are necessary for the entire ecosystem of the planet and without them, conditions may not be survivable. That's the scientific answer, but on a religious note, perhaps God created animals to give humans some kind of responsibility over a lower life form than ourselves, similar to the power he has over us.

God gave Adam animals for His own pleasure and God wanted to see what he would call them, Adam named every creature.Gen.2:19,20. Also there was no killing of animals to eat in the garden that was only after the fall. God gave Adam and Eve plenty to eat Gen.2:16, but they were not to eat of the tree of knowledge....Genaveve

According to the bible, to be eaten.  The purpose that animals, adapt, survive and live is to be killed and eaten by us.  The real reason? Beastiality. When I get two ducks together with a calf and a bottle of lube... Man!
