    Bishop is an ordained minister who holds the fullness of the priesthood in the  Catholic Church. There are  4800 bishops in the Roman Catholic Church. Major role of Bishop is head of a diocese or eparchy. There are three duties of Bishop in church. These are
    1. To sanctify
    2. To govern
    3. To teach

      A Bishop is a person who is the ordained member of Christian clergy. He has the position of authority and oversight. He holds the ministerial office within Christianity along with Priest and Deacon. The are considered to have a direct historical lineage which dates back to the original Twelve Apostles in the Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, Assyrian Church and Anglican Church.

      Responsibilities:
      His three key responsibilities are:
      - To Teach.
      - To Sanctify.
      - To Govern.

      They can ordain clergy which includes other bishops. Their office has been quite distinct from the office of the priests since ancient times.
