The ranges are placed according to the higest to the lowest order: Walton Hill, Clent Hill, Wychbury Hill, Calcot Hill and Adams Hill. Clent Hill is the areas most famous walking hill, though it is not stated because the entire area is called Clent Hills.
The hill region includes remains of a multi-vallate Iron Age fort on Wychbury Hill.
