What Is The Point Of Doing Homework?
I can't stand people who do homework. It really annoys me.

I used to like homework Grampa. I thought you did to! It's important so that you can get good grades in school, so that you can graduate and maybe go to college so that you can have a good career for yourself. I used to want to be in forensics, or to be a lawyer. But, alas, I am afraid of people, so I stay home all the time.

If you don't do your homework, you might get lost and not be able to find your way home, because you can't read.
Maybe someone will overcharge you for things you buy and you will be broke all the time.
That is the point of doing your homework.
I read a book about this guy named Hydrogen Oxide who never did his homework. Then one day he was kidnapped and he escaped but he couldn't find his way home because he was taken to another country and he couldn't read the signs. He never found his way home either.
The only thing he ever learned when he was growing up, was how to swim.
Now what good is that going to do for him?

Ahhh, my 16 year old and you share the same opinion on homework, I tell him its okay, if he doesn't do his homework, then when he gets older he wont have work to come home from. He assures me though that the teachers are just dumb and they only assign homework to get out of teaching , besides he says he wont need to know history or math when he gets a job. I bet your a teenager as well and think you know everything there is to know, but in life you are always learning... Be nice to those people who annoy you by doing homework, otherwise they wont let you copy theirs!

Ok... To answer the question, what is the point of doing homework, the answer is that the assignments given as homework are intended to help you remember the information that is being taught in the classroom.
The easiest ways for most people to remember information is through repetition, and through reading and having to rewrite the information in their own words. After all, the assumption is that if you can't write the information in your own words, then you probably have not learned that information.
I'm a little confused though... You hate people that finish their homework? Wouldn't it make more sense to hate teachers that give lots of homework? Maybe I'm misunderstanding...
Good luck, and have a good day.

I don't like to do homework either. But a lot of the times the teacher checks your homework and if you ain't gots it then you get a (0) and that is what hurts your grade. Also, homework, even though i don't like it, i still do it because it refreshes your mind of what was being taught that day in class. I study sometimes, and when i study i only take about 30 min. Sometimes i don't study when it comes to test and i still pass them because i listen in class and i don't talk to my friends or goof off. So, yea even though ya don't like it, and ya don't like to see other people doing it, it still has to be done.
