          Briony is a ghost walker who is more powerful then other Ghost walkers. However she is ignorant about that fact. That's when she meets Jack Norton an assassin who is merciless and killing is his passion. Now they both begin to share that strong bond and he impregnates her and then leaves.

          However it was all a set up by the evil minded Whiney who wanted to enhance his breeding programme. Thus on finding out that his plan worked he tries to drug Briony and kidnaps her. However Briony escapes. As time passes by Briony realizes that there is no safe place and she cannot endanger the life of her loved ones. Therefore her last resort is Jack Norton who is all surprised to see a pregnant Briony and guarantees her protection. Whilst this, their love for each other rekindles.

          On the revelation that Briony has a twin sister Jack promises her to find her leading them into the next book.
