I Found A Duck Egg. I Put It In My Back Yard By A Tree. Will It Hatch??
I found a duck egg and I was wondering if it will hatch in my back yard. What should I do to try to keep it alive?

Purchase an incubator & for goodness sake get it off the ground before a snake eats it!

You need to buy an incubator and keep it warm. If it isn't already to late, and it hatches then you need to get feed for it. Go to a local farm store of some sort and buy a bag of chick starter. For a duck you need to add a little water to it in a bowl (so that it has about the consistency of oatmeal). Raising a baby duck is a lot of work you have to have a heat lamp that it can get warm under and soft straw or something for bedding and plenty of water and food. You also need to keep the cage, or preferably the box, clean.
