This book was the author's first book in the Californians series. This book revolves around the romance of Jeff Taylor and Bobbie Bradford. It begins with a picnic episode where Bobbie faces an embarrassing moment due to Jeff after which she leaves hometown, Santa Rosa. None of Jeff's apologies have calmed her down, but now after ten years she has returned to get married to another man which Jeff, a news that Jeff cannot cope with.
