What Are The Three Main Pathways By Which A Pollutant Can Gain Access To The Human Body ?

There are various forms of pollutants and therefore, they can enter by different means in human body. I think the major path which can make the pollutant enter in our body is our NOSTRILS. When we breath, we take in air and all of the pollutants in air can enter in our body. For justification, take an example, if coal is burning near you and when you will breath then you may cough because the pollutants will enter your body.

Secondly, pollutant can enter when you take in food or drink something which is contaminated. Food is the major source of contamination in our body. For example, when you drink water which is coming from a Dam that is near a chemical factory. All of the chemical pollutants of factory will make the water polluted and pollutants will enter human body when water will be used.

Third pathway can be our exposure to the atmosphere. The reason is that our body is made up of cells and there are pores in our body. When we touch something or come in contact with anything then pollutants can enter in our body directly through pores. For examples, pimples arise on face because of the dirt and the pollutants which come in contact with the skin.
