I like both, but dark chocolate is my fave. My grandfathers recipe for fudge is for dark chocolate and I have to make it for all holidays as I am the only one who can make it.

I prefer dark chocolate, and love the Hershey's ("Special") brand of it. Dove's is pretty good too. There's nothing like a dark chocolate covered (high-quality) cherry cordial confection.
