You need to treat your house, yard, and the kitten. Put 7-dust powder along baseboards, under furniture, in seat cushions, and up vacuum. Put 7-dust granules in your yard. Then treat the kitten with a distilled vinegar water bath (1-2 cups vinegar in bath tub) and apply a flea treatment to it's skin like bio spot or advantix going by it's age. 7-dust is at most stores in the lawn and garden area, and vinegar is pretty cheap.

Bathe it in Dawn soap, it kills fleas really well. Also 7 dust works really well too but your cat may not be old enough for flea meds.
