I Am A Owner Of A Motel In Texas And The Tenant Is Refusing To Leave Cops Said Give Them Time Its Been 3 Days. Can I Turn Off The Electricity In There Room?
the police came because there was an altercation with the tenants and said give them 1 hour and the police arent really any assistance to small motel.hotel owners so i want to turn off their power so no light no AC and in texas that shoudl get them the hell out the room but i wanna make sure its legal?? [;ease help

No ,you need to contact legal aid not the police it is civil and good luck so much red tape I am a tenant and the landlord does almost the same but with water and water temp and no heat.unless i want to take a chance and fight and end up not finding a place what do i after calling building code got 30 then 2 days after that 3 day to pay or quit wants rent from the day after my 30 day had to put restraining oder out and still legal aid says pay but try if you both end up calling police look in to protecting your self you could try trespassing but how long have they been there so sorry for your troubles in the same boat but other side to many people abuse the system and make it hard for those you have right of way
