The album Somewhere in Time is the sixth studio album which was released by the heavy metal band from Britain; Iron Maiden. The album was released on the 29th of September in the year 1986. This studio album was the follow up album for the highly successful album called 'Powerslave' and also to the live album called 'Live After Death'.

This was the first album in which the band had made use of guitar synthesizers. It is said that the song material which was written by Bruce Dickinson (Vocalist) was refused in favour of the Guitar Player called 'Adrian Smith'. The album featured some of the best songs that have been written by Iron Maiden. One of their most famous song is from this album and the song is called 'Wasted Years'. On the recent tour of India, when a fan met Adrian Smith, he was asked that which his favourite Iron Maiden album…and his reply was "Somewhere in Time".
