Does Anyone Know About Strokes In Older Cats?

Last night our 19 year old, very healthy cat, got up and started going in circles, eyes darting back and forth, head tilted to one side, and having problems with his hind quarters, lasting about 3-4 minutes. Happened 3 more times. This morning ate, drank, purrs, but seems quiet.

Strokes or vascular events can occur in older cats.  Seizures or partial seizures are also a concern.  At your cat's age cancer is always high on the list of possibilities when cats become ill.  Cats can develop a neurological condition secondary to liver disease.  Toxicity and trauma are possible but less likely in a cat of this age.  Have your cat examined by a veterinarian; initial bloodwork needs to be run.  There may be some treatment that will help your cat.
