Why Are So Many Americans Obese?

Americans eat a lot of processed foods full of chemical additives and sugars.

So many Americans are obese because of their diet which contains far too many fattening foods and their lack of exercise.

Americans eat the wrong foods and do not have enough physical activity.  The fast-paced lifestyles of Americans mean that they eat lots of "fast food" meals.  Fried hamburgers, french fries, pizza and sodas are the normal meals for most young people.  Most mothers work outside of the home and don't take the time to cook.  Processed foods are high in fat, and sodium.  Then after eating all of the fattening foods, most people sit and play video games or watch television instead of take a walk or ride a bicycle.   
Southern people probably have the worst food choices.  Most is fried, or seasoned with bacon grease and salt.  I am a southern American woman and I can see what long term problems this diet has on your health.
