Well I myself am a gamer and have faced a problem with my video games too. The secret way that I fixed my games that had scratches was that I went into the washroom, put some soap on the CD and washed it. Afterwards I would dry it gently with a tissue. Due to the cleaning the game would now work where earlier it did not. So try it, it might work for you. If it does not then your CD may have been seriously damaged somehow.
