I'm not sure how you can shrink or reduce the size of a WAV file, but what you can do is change it into another format which has files of a smaller size, for instance mp3.
To change the WAV format to mp3, you need a type of software called as an mp3 converter. One can easily convert formats of any type into mp3 by using this gadget.
Another way of shrinking the size of your WAV file is to reduce the quality. But if you do no want to compromise on the quality of the file, then I'm afraid you do not have many further options. Decreasing the quality of the file does not harm the file in any way, simply decreases the quality. However one can increase the quality again after transferring the data.
