Well when they originally released the console only Halo and Halo 2 could be played on it. but what you can do is get a subscription to Xbox Magazine which comes with a new demo disc every month and every so often a compatibility update is on the disc. Once you update your console go online to Xbox.com and check the list of compatible games. The subscription is definitely worth the money, it is a great magazine and i look forward to the new disc every month! It costs about $25 for 12 issues and 12 discs. I believe they update the compatibility list every three months or so. You can also update through Xbox Live if you have it.
