No but in some countries I know this is a ritual,don't know the reason,but the hair is suppose to be ones crown and glory.......

Woman shouldnt be forced to wear anything .. And i no that in islam as in the religion not the culture in the countries of it practiced!! That in islam.. If a woman is forced into doing anything then it is not actually halal!.. Its not permitted and as god sees and hears all, knows wots going on and whether something is done out of wanting to and comitment to it, or wether its forced upon, n if its forced its not accepted in islam ne ways! So wud b pointles in doing so?
