Terracotta, the beautiful colour that you can find the world over where pottery is made, is the intrinsic colour of pottery. The colour itself is not a natural one and it comes when pottery is baked in fire, but it is used since so long a period that we tend to perceive that nature herself has provided this colour to pottery.
       
It is not only pottery that has been granted this colour by the craftsmen of this beautiful art but so many other things that you can find are coloured with this colour. The prime among them is roof tiles. In many of the European villages you will find the terracotta tiled roofs enhancing the beauty of the village.
     
Sometimes some potters even paint the pottery with the colour when they find that a bit enhancement in colour can help them in selling their products.
