Christ is not kept in the tabernacle the old tabernacle under the law has been done away with through what He did on the cross! He now sits at the right hand of the Father!Mark.16:19 and has all authority over all things and the Church, all believers who have received Him in their hearts! Eph.1:22,23..through His own blood He became our final high priest Heb.7:23-28..He made the final atonement establishing a new covernent and a new spiritual tabernacle not made with human hands where we have axis to God through Him, through the new birth! 1 cor.3:16,17..We are that tabernacle In which He dwells through the Holy Spirit. The old tabernacle was made with human hands and only the priests could go in for the people, it was inafective Heb.8:12,13..Heb.9:6-15..we are now the new spiritual house, a royal priesthood and Christ is our high priest who now sits at the right hand of God with His Spirit dwelling in us. 1Pet.2:4-9..2Cor.5:1.

Once the bread and wine is consecrated into the body and blood of Jesus, his body must be kept in the tabernacle.  This is always made obvious by a light that stays on as long as our Lord is there.   The tabernacle is to protect the body of Jesus and give a sacred place to reside until it is consumed.
