Where Is Cape Verde Islands?

    Cape Verde is basically an archipelago Republic. The region where it is located is known as Macaronesia ecoregion. It consists of a number of Islands that are located off the Western Coast of Africa in the North Atlantic Ocean.

    The names of Islands in this Republic are:


    - Sotavento,  Brava, Fogo, Maio, Santiago, Barlavento, Boa
    Vista, Sal, Santa Luzia, Santo Antão, São Nicolau, São VicenteThis area was settled by explorers from Portuguese during the 15th century. It remained their colony till the year 1975 when it was given the status of an independent country. Now it is a developing country having a democratic form of government.
