When Was Lincoln City Football Club Founded?

    Lincoln City Football Club was founded in 1884 when they started out as an amateur side.
    At the beginning of the club's existence they played in the Combination League, followed by the Midland League. When the club turned professional in 1891, they joined the Football Alliance and were admitted into the Football League Division Two the following year when the League split into two divisions.
    The club joined Division Three (North) in 1921which they were winners of on three occasions in 1931/32, 1947/48 and 1951/52.

    Lincoln City have played their home games at the ground of Sincil Bank since 1895. It has a current capacity for just over 10,000 people. It is known by it's fans as 'the Bank'.

    The club currently reside in the League Two division and finished in 7th place in the table for the 2005/06 season. Their head coach is John Schofield.
