Can A Woman's Ph Balance In Her Discharge Cause A Man To Contract A Prostate Infection?

I am wondering because my new sexual partner has developed a bacterial prostate infection, with symptoms similar to that of STD (i.e. Burning upon urination, painful ejaculation) but has tested negative for chlamydia or other diseases. The doctor is suggesting that it might be my ph balance in my vaginal discharge that is the root of the problem. Is there any truth to this hypothesis?

The exact cause of prostatitis is unknown. Doctor's suggest that prostatitis can happen due to constant sitting, Urinary tract infection, etc etc. Yes, it can also happen from intercourse during period.

I got prostatitis when i was 14 and a virgin. It's not necessary that only ph balance is the root of the problem. Its really easy to put blame on someone else, but most of the time, man is himself responsible.
