How Does Property Purchasing Work In Scotland?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Many prospective property purchasers in Scotland wish to establish the likely costs involved in buying a property at the outset. Once a person in Scotland has found a suitable property to buy, he/she should note their interest in that property by informing marketing agents who would be glad to attend to on their behalf. Once a person is noted as being interested in a particular property, the seller does not sell that property to anyone else. Unless the buyer has funds of his own available to buy the property, he/she will be required to arrange for or get a loan to finance the purchase. Most lenders in Scotland take out a security over the property being purchased. It is always advisable to get a survey report of the property that you like before you commit to purchase it.
