There are several kinds of pastries that are there to make if you are interested on cooking. Here I am going to describe about one of the kinds of pastries called banana pastries. To make it, first of all you should collect the ingredients that are following: four cups of flour, four tablespoons of sweet butter, four tablespoon of shortening, half cup of water, dried apricot, one egg yolk, two bananas, one dash orange juice and confectioners sugar.
First you should sift the flour and then should add butter and shortening in it and rub it for as long when it becomes a bit like breadcrumbs. Then you should mix water into it to make it soft. Now you should use a wrapper to keep it for thirty minutes in your refrigerator.
The next step involves the mashing of bananas with all other ingredients and then roll the dough over it that you have made and then cut it to give it the size of four inches. Now you can make a semicircle with a spoon and then pinch the edges by pressing it with forks. The next step is that you should arrange the pastries on a cookie sheet that is non-stick and then you have to brush them to glaze. Now you just need to cook it for twenty-five minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit and your pastries are ready.
