    Nevada is a state in the United States of America. It is located in the western part of the country. The capital of Nevada is Carson City. The city of Las Vegas, arguably the city with the most famous and thriving legalised gambling and gaming industry in the world, is located in Nevada. Las Vegas is the largest city of Nevada. Nevada is the seventh largest state in the United States in terms of area. It covers a total area of 286, 367 square kilometres. In terms of population, Nevada is ranked 35th in the country, with 1, 988, 258 inhabitants according to the 2000 census. Nevada is not very densely populated as there are 18.21 people per square kilometre in the state. The state of Nevada is nicknamed the Silver State and the Sagebrush State. The state motto of Nevada is All for Our Country. The Battle Born State is the official state slogan of Nevada. Home Means Nevada is the state song. It was composed by Bertha Rafetto.
