Can I Get A Annulment?

I'm from USA, married a girl in and from Philippines in her Church there, can I get a annulment here in USA ,only married 6 months, Is the marriage considered legal in USA?

    Annulment is the legal procedure for declaring a marriage null and void. Unlike divorce, it is retroactive which means, an annulled marriage is considered never to have existed. You can get it after 6 months but you need to read the clauses first. Here is a link that might help you out:

      It depends on how the legal system works in the Philippines because you would have to get it annulled there. Yes it is still legal in the us.

        I believe that the last answer is incorrect; this has absolutely nothing to do with the legal system in the Philippines.  U.S. State Courts have jurisdiction to adjudicate the marital status of persons living within their jurisdictions.  A marriage is valid here if it was valid at the place where it was entered into.  Annulment requires certain specific grounds, at least in California.  Such grounds would include incest, fraud, bigamy, lack of capacity (fraud being the most commonly used).
