What Is The Remote Code For 32" Emerson Hdtv?
I use directv hd sat receiver. Purchased Emerson hdtv model # LC320EM9 2 weeks ago. I just need the remote code so I can program it on the directv remote control. I have tried a Philips learning remote and was told I needed the new remote that programs 4 digit codes. This is getting ridiculous. When I call Emerson tech support they say I need to contact the remotes manufacturer. (they don't know who it is). This run around is getting to be too much. Does anyone know where to find the code for the above TV model?

Hate to add to this already bad news, but I have the same HDTV and can't program it either, I realize I also had a regular emerson tv with dvd built in 4 years ago and its remote, which is diff than the one you are asking about, also can't be programmed into any universal remote. My guess is Emerson does their own thing and does not prescribe to any standards as most all tv manufactures. I do not recommend ever buying Emerson for this reason alone.

I had the same problems and also recommend any other manufacturer except Emerson....they stink and can't answer a question about their own product satisfactorily.
The only remote that will work for the Emerson, which I finally broke down and purchased, is any of the logitech remotes. The only problem with them are there price.. Other than that, it works perfectly and I can control everything, and I mean everything with it.

If you can get the Female Voice Prompted remote from Radio Shack 15-2146, you can find a lot of codes for DirectTV on page 38. Emerson 32 and 37 also have the same codes because the remotes are the same.
