Is Ever Pet Basic Puppy Food Good For A Pregnant Dog?

Answer Question

You should not change the diet of the mother to be unless a vet tells you to do so, a change in the diet needs to take time, and not all of a sudden. This can cause problems with digestion, and feeling well. Hope this helps, good luck to you and the mother.

I know your dog has had her litter already, but i HIGHLY recommend changing her food, i fostered a dog who came with ever pet basic and looking at the ingredients it is one of the worst foods i have ever seen, first off, the main ingredient is corn, which everybody knows what happens when you eat corn, there is very little meat in there, i think between the 3rd and 5th is "meat and bone meal" which means that the part of the animal they use is the bones, the hooves, the intestines, basically anything that is not fit for human consumption, when buying a dog food somewhere in the first 3 ingredients should be "beef meal" "poultry meal" "lamb meal"  or any other meat or fish with meal after it, the food should NEVER contain corn, and wheat is also a big no no for dogs, as it can cause allergies, i feed my own dog a food called flint river( www.frrco.com/122889 ),i feed the lamb meal and millet formula as she has allergies to beef and chicken, it's probably about 30x the price of ever pet (i'm not sure how much ever-pet costs, but i'm sure it's dirt cheap)  If you want to check out different brands of dog food and how they rank and why check out www.dogfoodanalysis.com ever pet isn't even on there, good luck, and i hope that your dog had healthy puppies :-)
