A well known term related to this word is the lentiform nucleus. Lentiform is a large, cone-shaped mass of gray matter. It is formed at the central core of the cerebral hemisphere. The convex base of this nucleus is made by the putamen and its apical part comprises of globus pallidus. Lenticular nucleus is another name for this nucleus.
