How Do I Color A Cats Urine So I Can Tell Which Cat Is Peeing? Food Coloring Won't Do It?

I do cat rescue and so have many cats in my house. One is peeing on the carpet. I want to color the cats pee one at a time so I can figure out who is peeing. Food coloring will color feces but not urine. Any ideas?

We are having the same issue. The food coloring only colored the feces. My thinking is - if the cat drinks it (like added to water) - that should pass through the bladder and hopefully pass a color. I'm trying it - and I'll let you know the results.

I don't know that but you are i presume using multiple cat boxes as some cats refuse to pee where a lot of other animals do, try putting a cat box near the site and other places. Dusting area with pepper helps too as the cats sniff area first when they pee

maybe you shouldn't have so many cats or you should get more litter boxes and keep them clean. how about that einstein.
