The east-west Corridor of the island of Trinidad and Tobago is where you can find Curepe. The place can be located in the west of St. Augustine and in the east of St Joseph. The Tunapuna-Piarco Regional Corporation is the administrative body for the area.
This place plays an important role for the students of University of the West Indies. It is quite close to the university’s St Augustine campus and many of the students pursuing their education in the university use this place as their home.
Earlier the place plays only as a crossroads to the Trinidad Government Railway and the Southern Main Road. Although the railway is long gone and the main road is in oblivion because of the advent of the new highways, Curepe made its mark and now plays as a major hub to the taxis plying south towards San Fernando and Chagunas.
