    In the UK, there is the Special Air Service, the Special Boat Service, the Special Reconnaissance Group and the Special Forces Support Group.

    The United States has Delta Force as it has become known

    In Denmark there is the Frømandskorpset (Naval Special Forces) and Jægerkorpset (Army Special Forces)

    Israel, part of the Israeli Defence force is called The Sayeret Matkal, based on the British model, their motto is also Who Dares Wins.

    In Australian, there are simple called the Australian Special Air Service Regiment, with New Zealand calling its crack troops The Special Air Service of New Zealand (what originality!)

    The German special forces are called the KSK, this is very much modelled on the SAS.

    In the United Arab Emirates, a section of the police is called the Police Special Unit.
