Carbohydrates are full energy and energy is much needed for growth. As children can grow up to the age of 18, so, they need energy during this growth period. That is why carbohydrate diet is recommended for teenagers. All teenagers should get carbohydrate diet in adequate amount for proper growth but not more than body requirements.
