What Is The National Game Of Japan?

Answer Question

The national game of Japan is Go, a game somewhat similar to chess; it is a board game and is considered to be one of the most difficult games to master. Go like chess is a tactical game involving complex strategies and moves and could be said to be a military game however unlike chess it involves various sub-games taking place within a game all at the same time.

Go is played with stones and unlike chess where the pieces can move differently the stones in Go can be moved in only one manner. But Go has been found to be more interesting as compared to chess in the sense that in chess where once a player gains an advantage it becomes difficult for the opponent to make a counter attack while in Go there are several chances to make a comeback even at the very last moments. The game is essentially about acquiring territories and engaging in offensive and defensive maneuvers.
