What's The Best Bait To Use For Crappie Fishing From Shore Or Pier?

I don't own a boat and have to fish from either a pier or the shore. I would like to draw the fish in with the right bait.

When I was younger I used a bamboo pole, bobber and minnows. Pulled in my fair share of crappie without realizing there's a whole scene of crappie angling out there. Sometimes mulberries would work; maybe they thought they were fish eggs or something.

Anyway, think along the lines of a long pole and faking them into thinking you bait is a tiny fish. Good luck.

The best bait you can use for crappie from the bank is minnows.
