What's The Difference Between US So-called Red States And Blue States?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Calling states red or blue is basically an easy way to tell whether the majority of the people in a state vote for the democrats or the republicans. Where the people vote for democrats then the state is called a blue state and called a red state where the people vote for republicans. This is a common way used by media while covering the election campaigns. There is another state called the purple or the swing state. In such states, there is an equal likelihood of a democrat or republican victory, it can swing wither way.
