Like a bubble, it is the tightest and most economic configuration that the matter can adopt.

Major planets form by the accretion of smaller objects such as asteroids. Individual building blocks won't themselves be necessarily round, but I suspect if enough of them gathered together over time, they would form a roughly round object. Some of the moons of Uranus exhibit signs that they have broken up in the past and then reformed, again in a round(ish) configuration.

Because gravity enacts on all large bodies of mass forcing down on the central point so when the hot gaseous matter around a forming planet harden around the central point, the planet is round

No doubt gravity is a central force......but if gravity cud affect d structuring of planets, den y r asteroids left as dey were during formation??????
Going by ur theory,d asteroids too sud hv been round in shape......
      Wat do u think??????
