It is great that you are thinking about self improvement, self mastery is one of the most difficult things, but often the most successful people in life are those with the greatest level of self mastery or self control in the various aspects of your life.
Firstly, you can look at your health. Do you eat a healthy diet, get plenty of greens and fruit? Do you regularly take exercise? Limit your addictions to tobacco and alcohol? Do you walk or do you regularly take the car?
Second, how about your finances, do you save money, have you got control over what happens to you finances? If not, do so, it's not difficult, it just takes a strategy and some will power.
Thirdly, have you sufficient education and training to succeed in the area of your life that you make a career at?
Fourthly, have you worked hard at building mutually respectful and enjoyable relationships with others. Do you treat them with respect?
