    Do Dogs Lose Their Hair After Giving Birth?

    I have noticed my dog is having hair loss and I was wondering if that may be the reason.

      Yes, dogs can and do lose after delivering puppies. This is attributed to the excessive stress they undergo during the pregnancy and the nursing period. Other probable causes of hair loss include excessive oestrogen in the body, fungal infections, low oestrogen levels, low thyroid hormone production as well as certain growth hormones.
